Siskel And Canefan Review

I had the opportunity to take in the play "Isn't It Romantic", a production of Nova Southeast University. Of course, the star of the show was none other than Chris Kehl (known to most of us as Pooh)!

First of all, let me tell you never to get directions from Pooh. After an exciting and frustrating tour of the Nova campus, we finally found the right building. (We did see the Dolphins Training Facility though.) When we were seated in the autorium, we were treated to every rendition of the once catchy tune 'Isn't it Romantic'. I say once catchy because after you have heard it so many times, you begin to cringe when you hear it.

Chris couldn't have been cast in a better part. He played the cad to perfection (including the open fly). Yes, he created quite a stir in the audience when he came on stage with his fly open. Of course he says that was in character for his part! His part was that of a married man, having an affair with his subordinate. His performance seemed so natural if I didn't know him better, I'd think it was the real Pooh!

Only Pooh would have the forethought to supply his own laugh track. Inviting fellow spods insured that. It also helps to have them seated in next to the video camera.

Oh, did I mention that after the play we had the pleasure of meeting Pooh's 'fly father'?

All in all, it was a very enjoyable play. Chris is an accomplished thesbian. (Is that spelled correctly?) Congrats Chris on a fine performance!
